Arizona residents may remember how the two stars of the Weather Channel show "Storm Wranglers" were killed while chasing a tornado near a town in Texas. A livestream of the chase, which occurred on March 28, 2017, shows what happened up to their collision with another vehicle. Like the two stars, the 25-year-old driver of that other vehicle died. He was a storm spotter employed by the National Weather Service.

Since 2009, the annual pedestrian death toll has increased by about 50 percent. This may understandably cause alarm for many people who use the streets in Arizona.
